Let's see, a little about me. I was diagnosed with bipolar (actually at the time they still called it manic depressive) a little over 30 years ago at the age of 17. This happened after being thrown into a mental hospital a few weeks after my Dad asked me to leave home. Since then, life has been...interesting. A few of the highlights include being homeless, selling and using drugs, a stint in prison, a suicide attempt, and several trips to the mental hospital. I also worked as an adult video performer for three years, which was interesting and different, to say the least.
I have spent around the last 16 years away from virtually all forms of social interaction, primarily to work on my disorder, and have learned a lot over that time. While I have definitely not “beaten” my disorder, I have learned a lot about how it works, for me, and some things I can do to mitigate its effects. I want to share what I have learned, and give you a look into some of the more memorable events in my life.
